Message from the Assistant Principal
My name is Blake Wood, and I am so excited to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal at Broadmoore Elementary for the 2026–2027 school year!
This is my fourth year serving as an Assistant Principal, and prior to that, I spent 11 years teaching 5th grade Math. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep love for education and a strong belief in the power of school-family partnerships to help every child grow academically, socially, and as a leader.
I am honored to join the Bobcat family and look forward to getting to know our amazing students, families, and community members. At Broadmoore, we are committed to developing student leaders through the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and I believe these habits help students build responsibility, confidence, and ownership of their learning. By encouraging students to be proactive, work together, and strive for their personal best, we help create a positive and supportive school culture.
I am passionate about fostering a welcoming environment where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to succeed, and I look forward to partnering with families as we support students in growing both academically and as leaders.
Thank you for welcoming me into this incredible community. I am excited for a fantastic school year ahead and look forward to all we will accomplish together at Broadmoore Elementary! Go Bobcats!
Thank you,
Blake Wood
